Oxymoron

June 27, 2006

There I was in the dairy section chatting away and letting my fingers shop with little intervention from my brain. That’s how I came to bring this stuff home — non-fat milk and corn syrup. After one bite of my fresh peaches and not half & half, I was suddenly paying attention.

You see that little sticker down there that reads real? Real, what?!

Oxymoron: a combination of contradictory or incongruous words;
something (as a concept) that is made up of contradictory or incongruous elements

Thanks for stopping by and seeing my NEW Lazy Look! (even though it was your first visit). It is nice to hear from you and that you enjoyed your stay! I hope you’ll be a regular? ~ jb///

Do you think the indian girl is ‘real’

PS – If you just want half fat milk, can you not just but a pint (or litre) of full fat, and add one pint (or litre) of water when you get home. Then you get 2 pints (or litres) for the same money, and you have to carry less all the way home in your shopping bag. Q

PS – I know what you mean about the Strip. That’s is what makes the ‘neon’ lights glow at night. lol!

I grew up drinking REAL milk from REAL cows. This is what I have to say about non-fat milk – fill a glass with whole milk, find a nice farm cat and transfer the milk from your glass to its bowl – now, take that empty glass, fill it with water and look at it. To you that is non-fat milk. To me that is a dirty glass.

  • QUASAR9 says:

Yep, I like my milk straight from a cow too. Well not literally, we used to boil it first, and fight for the cream on top.

Oddly enough my cousin introduced me to ‘flavoured’ soya milk a few years ago. Not the ‘real’ thing by a long chalk, but it does make a refreshing summer drink.

Silk Soymilk — Chocolate — provides iron, potassium, calcium, omega06 acids, fiber & protein, with no cholesterol and little fat (we’ll just skip over the carb count)– yummy stuff.

(I in no way represent White Wave Foods Co.)

Delicious, the Incas were onto something with chocolate too. No problems with carb count here, I’m blessed with the ability to burn energy like a nuclear reactor. lol!

    Life is full of contradictions!
Just had to visit for a while. Personally, I believe we should enjoy the real things in food but its the moderation I have trouble with…especially when it taste so good!

  • QuillDancer says:

Moderation? Never heard of it. I better get a dictionary … ;)

Hey, Pauline — you are always welcome here. Kicj back, sit a spell. Take your shoes off.
