April is Fickle

April 25, 2007

April brought spring to Las Vegas, changed her mind and gave us winter. An ever contrary female, April changed her mind again and returned srpring to us, then snatched it back and replaced it with winter. Today we woke to summer. I wonder what we will get tomorrow?

It is lunchtime. I have come home to change. Yesterday I changed out of light clothes and into slacks and a sweater. Today I am removing my slacks and my sweater, and putting on lighter clothes.

I must explain that I’m a stay at home mom, but- holy cow! It’s April already?!? This year has gone by a little too fast.

I thought March used to be the fickle one. As long as July is hot, I won’t complain. Well, okay, yes I will. I mean, who wants it to be hot? But at least my complaints will have some merit. lol

And I thoughht Vegas had only summer.

Uhm, Brig, April is almost over.

Dr. John — good to see you out and about. I am glad you are feeling better. Vegas has hot and cold. For brief periods between those two extremes we usually get “moderate” and optimistically label them Spring and Fall.

  • We’ve had a few days of summer weather, and now it’s threating to cool down quite a bit…I’m being a rebel and walking around in my new summer PJ’s I bought today though…the cold weather be damned!

    strange weather patterns all over…
april has never been so warm and sunny here.

Silver — damnit — for some reason when I respond to you, the comment goes to to spam, and it won’t allow me to post it. This is my 3rd try.

Polona Weird weather here, too. We don’t usually switch from hot to cold. It just gets hot and stays hot. Period.

Minka It is currently 90F — I am thinking I’ll have to unwrap the swamp cooler and turn it on before the weekend is over.
