Whoof!! Thanks fur the visits and good wishes. WOW, this bird sure is purty!! I gots all my letters and piktures up now too, so come see ‘em. I ‘caught up’ from K to P tonight.

  • Alice says:

Those are such incredible photos, Quilly. I’ve always loved peacocks, and peacock blue!!

Now that I helped Reba get caught up, I will be getting to mine in the next day or so too…. and I look forward to visiting everyone and seeing what I’ve missed. I still am having times when I can’t look at my computer, but at least I’m getting back into it. Guess I have to quit putting 8 hours, give or take, in on the silly thing each day. The last several days I’ve barely touched it and surprisingly haven’t really missed it, haha

  • Mar says:

Magnificent shots of the peacock! The last one shows the peacock’s stunning beauty… just amazing! :)

  • Melli says:

Oh! Imagine! PEACOCKS for “P” at Quilly’s place! I just LOVE those birds!!! LOL! That skywatch shot is incredible! That purple sky… mmmm…. amazing! WOW!

  • Those are so beautiful! You put mine to shame. I love the silhouette, but nothing beats all the vibrant colors and the texture of the feathers.

  • VE says:

Sky Watch starts with P? Damn, I should have studied more during school…

  • Wow… what a great post with the Peacocks… I love their bright colors and such wonderful pictures…. my letter “P’ today is about my dad who was a paratrooper…

  • Robert says:

These are some of your best yet. I love the close up on the face. Such detail! I can’t believe we’re over the half way point now. For once I’m already planned early for the next day. But I still have no clue as to what I’ll post for R-Z! This is lot’s of fun.

  • Carletta says:

WOW – gorgeous shots – all of them!

  • Doug says:

    THe top photo is spectacular.

  • Brian says:

Wow Quill. What vibrant plumage you have. ;)

    Hi by the way. :D

  • Quilly says:

Reba — I’ll be there right after work!

Alice — don’t stress yourself. Vacations are god for the soul.

    Mar — thank you.

Melli — the purple sky is the result of darkening the photo to get the silhouette. Magic tricks with photo software.

Karen — yours was lovely with it’s full tail spread.

VE — we learn something new everyday.

Baba — I am looking forward to seeing that!

Robert they came within two feet of me. I had to take their pictures!

    Carletta — thank you.

Doug — thank you. The peacock certainly was hoping so but the peahens were unimpressed.

Not me, Brian, the females are dowdy compared to the males.

    ‘Lo, to you, too.

  • juliana says:

    ah yes, the peacocks!
spectacular as always, and you make them really shine

  • Jill says:

Those peacocks are such good subjects. Most of us don’t get the chance to get up close and personal with them. Very nice.

  • Dr. John says:

These are the only pictures of yours that I expected. What else but your favorite bird for P. Great pictures.

  • Jientje says:

I got my comments on the wrong post, must be tired!!!

  • Jientje says:

I’m definetely tired, now I forgot to say what I wanted to say!!!
Those peacock pictures are breath taking, stunning, wow factor 100!

  • Quilly says:

Juliana — thanks, but I guess I am to predictable.

Jill — I was very lucky.

Dr. John — predictable, I know. Well, maybe tomorrow will be a surprise.

Jientje — thank you. I thought they were my best yet.

  • Minkydo says:

Lovely shots. I wish my birds had been in full plumage. I was lucky the male didn’t attack me. He’s chased people before :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pics!!!!
    Peacocks are so gorgeous.
There’s a city right next to where my brother lives. It is called Arcadia, CA, and peacocks roam free in the neighborhoods. It’s neat to drive there and watch them. They are on people’s lawns and crossing the street. It’s odd and interesting. There are signs posted that say not to disturb the peafowl.
I saw an all white peacock in Charleston, SC at a plantation a couple of years ago. It was really neat looking.
