Hi all... I'm totally caught up now, and my "U" is even up too. It's after midnight here, but I'm 3 hours ahead of Quilly, so I guess that makes me early, haha.

I'll drop by in the morning to post in Quilly's "U" comments... unless I'm still awake in 2 1/2 hours, then I'll do it tonight, haha.

David -- it's hard to take a bad photo of God's masterpieces.

Dr. John -- how long hav e you had that stutter?

Jientje -- the sound of the waves -- and jet planes. This tree is actually very near the Kailua-Kona airport on Hawaii (a.k.a. "The Big Island").

Gattina -- there is no sand under this tree or on this beach. The ground is pebbles and rocks -- mostly broken coral.

Robert -- your beach blanket had best be padded. Check out my comments to Jientje & Gattina.

Mar -- beautiful, indeed -- and the water was perfect.

Cath -- that isn't sand it's growing in, it's coral -- so you need to ask, how is that tree growing in calcium carbonate. The lava rock (these islands are primarily that) and the coral rubble are very rich in nutrients -- or so says the botanist/oceanographer on the other end of the couch.

Melli -- well, I drive down unmarked roads in the middle of nowhere and pray that I don't get lost/mugged/murdered. This beach is actually very near the Kona airport and the science station OC visits monthly. Beside a roadside/oceanside park, which was packed, was a bumpy road no sensible person would have taken my sedan down. Fortunately, I am not sensible, and this tree was waiting for me at the end of the line.

Karen -- it is the link that makes my spam filter eat your comments. Be patient. I check daily and fish them out.

Baba -- be right there ....

Juliana -- hmmm, I couldn't see much of the world from that spot. Behind me, where you can not see, was a long, low hedge. Mostly the view was ocean -- which was glorious!

Carletta -- green and blues together are my favorite colors.

Jules -- now THAT would be a picture!

San -- I can give you driving directions .....

Minkydo -- you'd have to bring the lemonade in, so you might as well have a whole picnic.

Cyndi -- me, too.

Donna -- God does good work.

JD -- bring a padded cushion, the ground is very rocky.

Andrew -- I would love to have it blown up poster sized, but most probably the graphics place will want mucho dinero.

That's a lovely, tranquil scene.
I'd like to rest under the shade of that tree.

You stole my word! Well, almost...;)
What a peaceful looking place to be though- I could sit there for hours watching that sea and listening to its' sounds.

Two of my favorite things: trees, the sea. You've captured them both beautifully. Sigh. I want to sit under that tree and gaze at the water.
