Y is For Yummy

May 24, 2008

You all have to know what a wonderful and loving man my OC is. All day long I stressed over what to do for Y. I wasn’t willing to settle for a simple photo of our yard. I wanted something spectacular. He was spectacularly unhelpful. Perhaps one could even go so far as to suggest he was spectacularly uninterested.

Because he was so unmoved by my plight, I expected him to greet my request for help in less than enthusiastic terms, but once he realized what I had in mind, he was more than willing to cooperate. (My hero!)

and Hershey’s Special Dark Syrup

OC’s loving, generous and heart-felt sacrifice was to eat every bite.
Poor abused man.
Btw, he did not pronounce it yummy.
I believe he called it spectacular.

The Brownies do look very tasty, but would be too rich for me. I can’t have that much chocolate anyway, gives me headaches.

Congrats Quill, you’ve made the front page of WordPress with your Yummy treats. :)

    Melli — yodeling?

    Mar — no, Yum Me!

Dr. John — it is! I can make some for you with fake sugar and fake syrup and fake ice cream and you can fake that it tastes good.

Juliana — I’ll make some for you if you ever come visit.

Karen — yep, the syrup made it!

Baba — another lovely family tribute.

Bill — I know you can’t tell from the photo (it was intentional) but we eat them cut quite small. They are very rich.

Robert — to be fair, he usually tells me the names of all the plants I photograph. And he always eats my cooking, even when I burn it. Only once has he suggested that we should find an alternative food source then the one I provided, and that was because I scorched the potato soup while reheating it.

Gattina — OC’s creativity lies in a different direction.

Shelly — it IS wicked good.

Carletta — except that last one when the camera almost ended up in the bowl with the yummies.

Now, Reba, you know that chocolate isn’t good for dogs!

    Alice — I’m so glad I could share. ;)

Alice & Reba — you both did great. Thanks for visiting my Alphabet Challenge. I know that it’s over, but you aren’t getting rid of me that easily. I’ll still be around t visit.

Holly — then I must be doing something well!

Brian — thanks for pointing it out. I make the dashboard so seldom that I love to go and stare at my avatar while it’s there.

I checked through all your recent posts, and I have to say I love your pictures.

That dessert looks absolutely fantastic. Do you bake often? If so, can I come over? ;)

  • Quilly says:

    Zeynepankara — yummy nice.

Jeremiah — you may come for dessert anytime. Let me know and I’ll whip up something full of calories and cholesterol. Of course, it might be cheaper for you to pop down to the corner bakery and buy a slice of whatever tickles your fancy.

It actually hurts to see food I can’t eat anymore, sniff sniff
