What is THAT?!

OC guessed right off — but then he uses it every day.  Do you know what this is?  Think, “From The Ground Up.” (That’s the title of the Photo Challenge being offered at, My World in Pictures, by Jeremiah Fargo.)

So, what is that in the picture?  Come on, give it a wild shot.

Yep.  You guessed right.  It’s the bedroom dresser.  I stretched out on the hardwood floor and took half a dozen photos.  This one was the best.  That bit of green you see at the top right is the corner of my extra pillow.  OC sleeps with two.  I prefer one, so the extra hangs out on the dresser when the bed isn’t made.

(And now you know I was running around taking photos when I hadn’t bothered to clean the house. Pft.  If you don’t like it, feel free to come scrub.)

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Hahaha ! Somebody should have taken a picture of you laying there ! That would have been even more interesting !
From tomorrow on I will participate too and take a picture of the dust bunnies from the ground up !

  2. I had to give it a second look, but knew pretty quickly what it was. Of course, the fact that I’ve been laying on the floor quite a bit has given me some good perspective on these things. 🙂

  3. Quilly..I knew! Yes, the handles did give it away LOL. I had to actually leave the house to get some different shots this morning! This is fun!

    You done good!

  4. Interesting Picture Quilly, I’d never have guessed what it was, and it took me a second to figure out how you took the picture.

  5. Mar — we shall all wallow together!

Jientje — I promise to look for more interesting subjects!

Gattina — ack! It would never have been posted on my blog! (On the fridge door maybe, but not my blog!)

Karen — I had another shot that didn’t show the handles as clearly, but it lacked character.

Jeremiah — taking photos like this does alter the way one perceives things.

Doug — You are so astute!

Melli — I told OC you’d complain about not being allowed to guess!

Debbie — I am off to work and will see what I find there, and between here and there.

FG — the view does tweak the brain a bit.

    Carletta — thank you.

  6. great perspective… i suppose it gave you a bit of excercise to get down there… who cares about cleaning anyway 😉

i think i need a few days’ break (or maybe not)

  7. I guessed! It’s great to see so many of the old gang moving on to this project…it’s like we moved the party to a new house…yayyyy! Is JFargo ready for us? he he

  8. Juliana — yeah, I was going to take a break, then my imagination took over!

Dr. John — an honest man!

David — clues? Go READ the post. [obviously the man has spent too many years looking at photos and forgot how to read]

Shelly — I spent some time flipping through Jeremiah’s blog. I think he can handle us — silly though we are.

  9. This is just good ol fun. I had to do three double takes (I guess that’s 6 single takes!) Great angle on this one.

  10. The clue definitely helped. Great perspective. I did wonder at first if it might be some sort of clock or barometer, then I read on and got the “of course!” bug.

Is this riddle week or what?
Great answer at mine. Thanks for coming over!
