Bullet Flight
What are the odds? The same day I got the incredible dove photos (btw, Melli, OC tells me that there is no difference between my dove and your Rock Pidgeon except the name) I clicked a couple dozen shots of house sparrows. For the most part when I attempt to photograph birds in flight they move too fast and leave nothing but blurred impressions behind, but for some reason I was extraordinarily blessed on the day I shot the doves and sparrows and managed to capture this:

Awwww. What a fabulous shot!
Incredible shot!! Very glad it turned out for you.
That is just amazing! You have gotten the best pictures of the birds the past few days. They are stunning in their beauty.
I can’t get into writing right now. Got some projects going and no time for much else.
Have a good one. 🙂
Oh girl! This is a fabulous capture!! Well done….
Wow ! you become a real expert in bird pictures !!
I have done this with other birds as well. I have a male cardinal in flight that looks to have been shot out of a gun. No wings are visible. He is just going through space like a rocket. Neat photo.
Good morning, a great shot.. I can see the bird’s eye clearly..Thanks for sharing with us, Baba
Another Wow Quilly. I am so impressed with this and the dove. They are such beautiful, clear shots. I love this one – just as he folded his wings into his body you went “click!” Brilliant!
For some reason you say? Don’t you know the reason that you got such good shots that day?
Because you are GOOD. That’s why.
Allrighty missy, I told you I was very envious of your *bird shots*…this is downright show-offy….okay…show off some more – you know I would 😉
Soooo cool!
I have those little fellows all over my garden, but this is the closest I’ve been to really seeing their feathers. Fast film in that camera?
Wings completely folded, head cocked. WHAT a great shot, Quilly!!!
that is TOTALLY awesome!!!!
catching it in the air like that – amazing!
Wow – another great shot!

Incredible, Quilly!! You really did have an awesome photo day! This boy has his wings folded in and still shooting through the air. Perfection!!
Amazing!
How’s your job, quilly???
you must ahve a good camera?!
Fantastic photo! 🙂
Congratulations on winning David’s “Posts of the Day” award!
He looks as though he stopped in midflight just so you could capture this shot! Congratulations on your POTD from David!

Great catch. I have noticed the sparrows here doing the same thing.
You GOTTA be kiddin’ me?!!! Doves and Pigeons? SAME? Noooo way! Maaaaan… way to bust a bubble….
That’s an AWESOME shot Quilly! I get excited when I get a good bird in flight too! It’s HARD!
What a great shot! I often have the same problem when shooting birds. It can get frustrating.
