Company For Dinner

I took this shot through the screen door.
This lovely Red Cardinal and his paramour were courting on our gate.

We shall be busy all day.  I hope to see you all at your blogs this eveing.

You get great photos of difficult subjects. I would have a nice picture of a gate.

Doug — roast chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, baby peas, fresh baked apple pie and french vanilla ice cream. Does that sound like enjoyment? Oh, and one of my guests did most of the dishes!

Juliana — yep.. Fun, laughter, food and friends!

    Dr. John — wonderful!

Betty — if you click on the picture and make it better, you can actually see the screen. That’s why the photo looks fuzzy. When I tried to open the door they flew away and left me with nothing but gate.

Ack! I missed this one! I was sO busy yesterday my own self! That’s a great picture though – especially through the screen! My camera usually wants to focus on the screen – and by the time I get it cooperating the birds (or the squirrel) have gone away!

I think cardinals mate for life, but I could be wrong. Answerbag had some disturbing news about cardinal mating and life expectancy.
