I don't remember quite that much drama at the park, but the merry go round thing was another one of the grown up traps. It was made of metal and situated in the sun, not a minor thing in Texas. It had metal handles, too. We would run and try to get on it while it was whirling around. Most times we made it...sometimes not. Hi Quillly, I had been seeing your comments on AnthonyNorth’s blog and was wondering if you were also Doug’s (Walking Ambrose) friend. I see your link to him here, question answered.
This is a neat post, poor little kids. Is it true? It brings childhood memories although I didn’t have many friends as we lived out in the country. There were usually eight +/- in our school.
We didn’t even have a slide in our school playground. :-0

So interesting. I would have never thought all this about a piece of playground equipment. As a child we just slid down it with mo fear at all. And I guess I never realized that there were others scared to conquer it.
