      1. We had “grub” last night: ramen with added goodies like a can of peas, a can of pork-n-beans, some baby carrots, some raw almonds… you get the picture. Not pretty, but filling, since SuperDad also added dehydrated potato flakes. It filled up the boys!
If Amoeba is still hungry there is a little bit leftover…

  1. Oh my dear, I hope that you feel better soon. I know that it’s no fun. I much prefer my illnesses be the kind where my head feels like it’s underwater and I can’t think. Then, I can lay down and sleep. The ones where you’re so “active” sucks. Hope that Amoeba is taking good care of you with plenty of fluids.

  2. I’m so sorry! Hope you feel better soon!

(And is it a sign of paranoia or extreme germophobia that after reading on someone’s blog that they’ve been sick, I want to wash my hands and sanitize the keyboard? 😉 )

    1. Barbara — I asked my Amoeba is I could get the H1N1 over the phone because I called my cousin on her birthday and learned she was in quarantine from it, and the next day I was sick.

  3. I am sad to hear you are feeling so lousy, Quilly. You don’t deserve this. Are your house guests still there ?? While no time is a good time to be sick, when there are guests, especially of the elephant variety, it’s an even worse time. Get well soon!!

    1. Alice — my house guest went to a B&B and was quite happy to ride the bus to Waikiki and entertain herself. Ella, however, stayed home ill with me and you’re quite right, Elephants with stomach flu aren’t fun! Luckily we have two bathrooms! .
