I can’t remember the name of it, and I can’t find it on the internet (once I got over the fact that anything from the 1970s is now VINTAGE!) but I had a friend from high school who sold Avon through most of her 20′s. One summer when we were in college, we worked at the same place and carpooled. One of those days she brought me the perfume (ok, cologne) I had ordered. Not wanting to deal with it at work, I left it in her car (actually, her parents’ car). That was when I learned about Houston heat and closed spaces and rising temperatures and exploding/evaporating perfume. Her parents car reeked for a loooong time! (Fortunately, her dad was our pastor and super nice!)
Oh, I just found it! It was Tempo!
Way back in the 70s I wore Candid and Avon still offers it today. My step-mom wore a Coty perfume and I broke a bottle of it in our basement. The whole house smelled like Emeraude for months.
Hmmmm, I may have to check that out.
