I am thinking of decorating my house in my own photography. How conceited is that? But you remember that awesome sunrise I captured right after we moved here? I think that would be fabulous above the fireplace — provided I choose the right frame.
I would like to get a console table for my entryway and keep portraits on it. Thing is, I’m not the best portrait taker. I would probably need to hire a professional for that, like Gold Coast Photography, although perhaps someone a little closer to home.
At any rate, I would love to have a select few of my better photos transferred to canvas to hang on my walls. Should I sign them or is that too over the top? I’ll probably finally decide what I want on my walls about the time Amoeba tells me we’re moving again.

Hell no it’s not over the top. Be Proud. Be an Egomaniac ROLFMAO!!!!
But Thom, then I’d be you!
We’re not going anywhere. Unless you let cows in the house. Then we will be mooving. We won’t be given a choice.
:*
Amoeba, the only cows in our house on are the dinner table. Promise. :*
I already do this – and I love it! I have a frame-colour scheme for each area. The wide, long hallway (which doubles as my library) has black frames with white mattes, and the great room has rich brown and black frames. I like the way it ties it all together, no matter what the subject matter is.
Enjoy yourself!!
Thanks, Jenn. I always doubt my own talents have value.
I think you should put your photos up. They are beautiful. I put mine up just recently. I love looking at them.
Thanks, Nessa. I think I’ll give it a shot.
I don’t think it is conceited at all to frame your own photos. You’ve shown us some gorgeous ones.
Thank you, Barbara. Now I have to decide which ones …..
That’s a FABULOUS idea! And wonderfully personalized. Good luck choosing the right frames.
Have your paid post clients finally realised you have an Australian reader? Pity the Gold Coast is still way too far away from me to be useful.
