WD-40 To The Rescue!

September 5, 2010

WD-40 is my friend.  Seriously.  You can check on Facebook.  I pretty much always have a can of WD-40 in my possession.  There’s one on the shelf in the garage right now.  The last time I used it was on my sliding screen door so it would slide instead of stick.

I love WD-40 so much that I spent the better part of the last hour watching WD-40 videos. Gotta love the Can Hand. I think my favorite is Can Hand Episode #1. thanks heavens he stopped that runaway lawnmower!

I have to admit that Can Hand Episode #3 was pretty funny.

I know what what you were thinking, but even the first time I heard it I knew the truth. I used to be a kid, too!

I used to own an old Plymouth Horizon. I bought the car for $250.00 at a police auction. My friend Karen and I changed the alternator, installed a new battery, tuned-up the spark plugs, changed the oil (maybe in in this order) and Goldie was ready to roll. Yes, we did all the work ourselves, but we did have a lot of help from WD-40. It helped us loosen up the bolts so they were easier to turn.

I always kept a can of WD-40 in Goldie. I had to remember to spray the hatchback every few days, or opening it would become a wrestling match. Goldie was so old a lot of her joints were rusted. WD-40 was her arthritis medicine.

You know, it is too bad that Goldie has gone to that great junk yard in the sky. She could have starred in her own WD-40 videos. She would have been a natural.
