We have an old-fashioned style (although new) metal headboard on our bed. We got it in Hawaii, which is evidenced by the rust spots. The only consequence we were thinking of when we bought the thing was the price tag. Alas.
I picked the headboard out. I had one very much like it when I was a kid. Plus, I am a fan of white bedroom furniture. And in this house, with it’s white baseboards, window casings and wooden vertical blinds, white furniture is a custom fit.
Right now the bed and two coffee tables are our only bedroom furniture. The coffee tables are cherry wood and I would really like to put them in the living room. I want a white wooden headboard, matching night stands and a bureau. I found the perfect set but the purchase price includes the white wardrobe, which, since we have a humongous walk-in closet, we don’t need.
It is a really nice wardrobe though and our bedroom is humongous. We could put this wardrobe, our queen-sized bed, two night stands, a bureau and a high boy dresser in there and still have plenty of floor space left over. The thing is, we wouldn’t have anything to put in them. I guess I’d have to go shopping, hmmm?

Store towels and bed linens?
that wardrobe is fabulous!
i don’t have enough floor space though…
Pretty. I like white bedroom furniture, too.
Shopping for furniture is so much fun — now if only there were any money to make it funner LOL
