This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.
I just went for a walk. It is a beautiful day. The sun is shining. The birds are singing. The weather isn’t too hot or too cold — and the skies are blessedly dry. According to the weather forecasts, I might get a couple of more walks in this fall before the rain moves in to stay. Then, short of growing webbed feet, how will I get my exercise?
Well, my walk took me past our local electronics store. Inside I saw a kid jumping around — hopping, twisting, leaping — and then he kicked a ball. Hard! I flinched, expecting to see and hear the ball impact against the big screen TV. It didn’t. A confused 20 seconds later my brain registered the fact that the leaping kid, standing in the flesh in the electronics store, was actually a virtual player in the soccer game on the TV set.
He was trying out the PlayStation®Move. That’s when it occured to me I could get all the exercise I needed right in the comfort of my own home all winter long. All I need is a PlayStation®Move and a couple of games.
Actually for a mere $99.00 I could buy a Move Bundle Package for the Playstation 3 and upgrade rather than buying new. Of course, I don’t currently have a Playstation 3. Sigh. If any of you feel like playing fairy godmother (or godfather as long as we can come to terms without taking out a contract on anybody), I’d like to find a Playstation in my Christmas stocking.
Just think, with a PlayStation®Move I could go bowling right in my own living room! I wouldn’t even have to rent the funny shoes or worry about the loud drunks on the other lane. How cool is that?
I’m thinking though that I would like to be an apprentice wizard in “Sorcery.” I think it might be fun to save the world from evil while getting my aerobics in. Or I can join Lord Aragorn’s Quest and fight the minions of Sauron. That would be sure to get my heart pumping.
Of course, we’d also need a golf game for Amoeba. Maybe we could even play it together. He could teach me the game basics over the winter and we could start golfing together for real in the Spring. That way he wouldn’t have to worry about his game getting rusty and I could get the embarrassing beginner’s mistakes out of the way before I ventured onto a public course.
I know I will enjoy whatever games my fairy godmother gets us. The ergonomically designed, easy-to-use controller will capture my full range of motion giving me ultimate control over how I play the game. I just hope that as I cast spells or swing my sword, when my virtual self gets hurt or killed, my real self doesn’t bleed!
Bring on the games!

This sounds like fun!
now you gave me an idea here…. thanks for the suggestion. if you get more than 1 from your fairy godmother, you might want to share it with me.
Oui oui! Or is that Wii wii? Oooops! No! That’s the other guy! I’m contemplating one of those two for Amanda’s house for Christmas.
“play stay shown!”
That’s the way they say it on their commercials.
Those games truly are fun! We have a Wii instead of a PS (although I know some boys who wish they had all the options of the competitors) and I have actually gotten sore playing tennis! You can get a workout, although it isn’t quite as good as the real thing.
Also, I discovered that my bowling game was not improved by how well I could do it in the live-action video version. Bummer.
