Punny Monday 11.03.21

Welcome to Punny Monday. This is a fun little guessing game meant to spark your imagination and tickle your punny bone. Every Monday I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it. Posting time varies so every time zone occasionally gets a fair shot at being first to see the game.

Here is the image you need to base your guess on:

What American slang phrase does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.

PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. A plate full of something I don’t like. LOL some things just do not change. I still don’t think that abstractly.

  2. My bowl is missing peas 8) I like everything on that plate, only I can’t figure out the slang. I most likely never even heard it! Happy Monday to you all, anyways !

  3. You seem to be obsessed with peas these days… I’m up early (by my standards) but it’s neither coffee or my brain have kicked in.

  4. .
Hey quilly. 🙂 This is a tasty looking dish you prepared for the vegetarian in your family. I like green peas, the small ones and the medium sized. I used to not like black-eyed peas but now I do. Thank my deceased MIL for that.

I would like for you to visit here while we are having our nice spring weather and do or help with a little ‘mucking out.’ Our garage and my office both need it. I probably can do he garage with the leaf blower but it would blow all the papers out the back door in the office.

You didn’t tell about Amoeba’s having stitches before. Just that he was not good at reading he directions on the med bottles was all that I could find. I hope they are fine and ready for pulling. I hope he is better now too with whatever that was ailing him.
Isn’t it about time that you sent him off to Hawaii again?

  5. Hey everyone — you need to pause for a moment and give credit to my dedication (this said tongue in cheek in light of last Monday’s missed post), I actually stood there and separated all of those peas from a bag of frozen veggies! The things I do for you!

Oh – -and for all of you who are wondering about the trend of the last several posts, we are having a season of peace. 😉

  6. I researched 280 American slang terms and did not find this. Of course, the peas are out of the mixed vegetables. Yikes, all these peas are freaking me out. Good one Quilly:)
