Giving New Meaning to “To Go”

Since this is supposed to be a humor blog, I thought I should start looking for some humor — and Red Robin Restaurant in Burlington, Washington obliged:

I was contemplating taking them up on the Whiskey River Barbecue thing when Amoeba called my attention to this sign:

He wouldn’t let me park in either spot!

We did eat at the Red Robin though. It was Amoeba’s first time there. He had a chili burger. I had the Blue Cheese Burger. Both were excellent.

Bytheway, this was not a paid post.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. I have not yet been to a Red Robin. I know there must be one nearby maybe in Maryland. I always hear the ads for them… “Reddd Robinnn”.

  2. LOL It reminds me of the signs at Chili’s. I think one of them read for the To Go parking. “All other cars will be crushed.” 😛

  3. Well, at least they and you have a sense of humor! It’s been a while since I have eaten a burger of any kind.

Tonight, we are buying TACO SALAD!!!

  4. There was a Red Robin near where we used to live. It was always extremely busy. A good friend said it was good but expensive.
Glad to hear from someone else that it is indeed good and apparently they have a good sense of humor. 🙂

  5. I tried Red Robin in Canada the last time we were there. YUUUUMMY……is all I remember! I think I have a picture of their cheesecake. Hmmmmmm!!

  6. Even though we have two nieces who work in the Red Robin offices in Colorado, we like their food independently of that link. They do have really good burgers, and the fries…oh my!!!

  7. I’ve never heard of Red Robin — but the first thing that caught MY attention was wondering how you get a “to go” parking space! I’d LIKE one of them! I’ll have ONE parking space please… to go! How CONVENIENT that would be!
