A kid who frequents my favorite coffee shop just got his very first job. He’s working as a CNA at the Nursing Home. His friends were razing him about his “uniform” and he responded, “Are you kidding! Scrubs are so cool! Easy on, easy off, and they’re a breeze to wash! I like scrubs so much I’m going into nursing!”
That was a couple of seeks ago. Today he came into the coffee shop with two of those same friends — and they were all wearing scrubs! I see a new island trend forming. The current trend on the island seems to be sports coats over whatever — including cut-offs, jogging suits, and sweats. The coming trend will be men’s lab coats!
And you know if it catches on with the boys even the fashionista girls will soon be wearing scrubs. And if that happens all of our little island boutiques will start offering hospital scrubs for sale. The boutiques won’t be able to beat the prices and sizes available through Blue Sky Scrubs, though.
