Itsy Bitsy Spider

An itsy-bitsy spider which very much resembled a four year-old’s hand crawled across the lunch table and tickled me. A very large spider which very much resembled my hand crawled back toward the four year-old. The itsy-bitsy spider turned into an itsy-bitsy ninja warrior and flattened the very large spider. The very large spider died a dramatic death and fell off the lunch table.

An itsy-bitsy spider which very much resembled a four year-old’s hand crawled across the lunch table and tickled me. Deciding to employ a little psychology, I reached out to pet it. I told it that it was a very sweet, gentle and loving spider. The itsy-bitsy spider hopped onto the four year old’s hip. “No, Ms. Chawwene,” the four year-old admonished. “You no pet spidahs!” The itsy-bitsy spider once again crawled across the table toward me. It paused. “Now pway wight!” the four year-old scolded.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. ROFLMBO!!! I LOVE it! I absolutely freakin’ LOVE it! Oh Ms. Chawwene… you have come such a LONG way Baby! And I have complete faith YET that you WILL get it wight!

  2. LMBO that is so cute.

Ya, go ahead and say it – I’m fickle and can’t make up my stinkin mind. But, I’m back on blogger and actually BLOGGING. (go me) So come see me when you get the chance. 🙂

  3. Melli — I am still undecided on how I feel about all of this. Right now we only have 8 students and they’re fun and sweet. Next week we will have 17. That many toddlers with physical and behavior disorders in one small room may yet send me to the time out chair.

Kat — I don’t know. The Munsters kept a pet spider named Fang and Eddie always petted him.

Mumma — but I didn’t realize this was a dangerous monster spider. It was so cute and tiny.

    Doug — Arachnofeelieya!

    Polona — humor or tears — it’s a moment by-moment-choice.

Donna — they fluctuate between evil and cute in 3 seconds flat. I’m back on Blogger, too. I also have a Hawaii blog and a cooking blog. You’ll find buttons to them on the top left sidebar of this blog. See you soon!

  4. You’re back on blogger too?! lol Well, now I don’t feel so bad. I’ll check the links, which do you prefer, or are you using one more than the other?

  5. Donna, the Blog I am most attached to is O’Ceallaigh & The Quill. I am also very partial to this one. If you are only going to pick one of my blogs to read, pick one of these, they are social and were you can most catch up on my life. The Blogspot blogs, Quilly Cooks and Oahu Dreams are attempts to make money blogging (I’ve earned a whole $4.00 to date so they are not huge successes). I don’t really care if my friends visit them or not. However, if you have any curiosity about Hawaii, you might want to look at the Oahu blog, and if you’re curious about what I feed OC, peek at the cooking one.

  6. LOL @your money making blogs. I did go to your Hawaii blog today but didn’t read any posts. I sat and stared in wonder at the beauty that surrounds you every day. Then realized the time and had to get off of here for a while. lol

I won’t pick just one, I very much enjoy reading your blogs. I have no clue how you have time for that many blogs since I’ve really only gotten truly active since Ashlea graduated and I no longer work outside the home. How you keep a job and, what? 4 blogs?, is beyond me!

Oh, something you don’t know – I am starting/learning to cook so I will definitely be checking out your cooking blog! I need all the help I can get. I’m hoping you have recipes that I can swipe from you on there. I read the cucumber salad recipe today and it sounded pretty dern good. 🙂
