By Any Other Name . . .

I just went by Melli’s and stole this: I did both of my names. You will find that the two descriptions/personalities are contradictory — which is interesting since they are both pretty much accurate!

What Quilly Means

People see you as a complete enigma, and only you truly understand who you are.
You spend most of your time introspecting and seeking truth.
You’re a very interesting person… but not many people know you enough to realize it.
You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.
And because you’re so lucky, you don’t really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.
You’re sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don’t get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. That was fun 🙂 it said I was very good at solving other people’s problems. Didn’t say I was very good at solving my own!!! Guess it helps to see a situation without living it 😉

  2. I just went and checked my names ~ William and The Old Fart. I will share on the blog for all to see. Like you both were close to me with the exception of some things.

    Thanks for sharing

  3. ha, the meaning of my name is too good to be true, hence it’s a load of rubbish… but amusing rubbish, i must admit 🙂

  4. I did Elijah’s on his blog.

What Helen Means (with comments from me)
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. (pity I’m lazy)
Success comes rather easily for you… especially in business and academia. (well, that’s probably true)
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You’re a strong person. (oh hell yeah)

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. (except the people who find me overbearing)
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. (no arguments in almost 10 years of relationship with husband is probably indicative of this)
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. (agreed)

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. (because I’m lazy)
You are light hearted and accepting. You don’t get worked up easily. (it takes too much effort)
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. (find a person who doesn’t like arguing – THAT’S the secret!)

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. (should have been a psychologist)
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. (ROFL)
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. (too much psych-hat wearing)

  5. SN — yeah, but they paint pretty broad strokes. The more I read the more the same they all are.

    Brian — yours or mine?

Kat — mine had a couple of glaring errors, but OC’s was so far of the mark it was hysterical. His called him adventerous and a risk taker. That is so NOT!
For OC an adventure is tasting something new — like tuna salad with dill pickles instead of celery.

Pauline — well, that’s better than being good at causing other people’s problems.

Nessa — lol! The program thinks you’re male. That’s what it told OC, too!

Bill — these silly memes are fun, aren’t they?

    Polona — that’s why I posted mine, which basically says that I am a type A, controlling, free-spirit, go-with-the-flow, detail-oriented, easy-going perfectionist. Hello?

Mumma — I was going to do the parenthesis thing, too, then I got lazy. Your comments are a riot.
