Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

oo awesome skywatch photo through the roof! love the look of it.
I see you combined them too! Good thinking. Anna’s always saying to look up!
Sorry about your accident – hope all is better today.
You got some really good lines here. Another good find for project black. 🙂
I love your sky picture! It must be very pleasant shopping in a mall with a roof like that.
Thanks for visiting me today and leaving the pashion fruit recipe.
Hello from Colorado. Nice SWF picture.
My entry in “Guess the Estimate” — $2800.
(The money’s not important, as long as you’re OK.)
I didn’t know that we have a new project “back”, lol ! what a cute typing error why don’t we do this project ?
Your picture two in one is beautiful !
Love the blue sky against the silhouette of the structure, the picture fits both the concepts well!
That is some sky above and beyond the mall. So beautiful! It’s a shame we need ceilings and roofs that cut us off from that blue.
Kylie — thank you.
Carletta — I took this photo from the same place I shot the escalator. Yesterday I had a bout of the shakes and a good cry — delayed reaction — but today I am fine.
Robert — And I am feeling better today.
Dot — I really don’t like shopping there, it’s the high-end mall, but we end up there a lot because they have a band stand and OC plays gigs there frequently.
Tommy — thank you.
Al — Plastic bumpers must be very expensive in NY, the estimate came in MUCH cheaper.
Gattina — thanks for the proof read. I fixed it!
i Share — — thank you!
Sandy — I especially feel that way here in Hawaii. I’ve been her almost a year and have only shut my windows onc or twice, and that was to keep out sideways rain, not the cold.
Early in the morning and I’m still number twelve. Another two for one picture. You do those so well.
That’s taken FROM center stage? Does that mean that there is NO ceiling over center stage? I’m trying to picture this… It’s a beautiful shot — you know I’m just trying to put myself there… without actually purchasing airfare…
You’re getting better and better with each picture Quill. Have a great weekend.
What an interesting mall shot… they are usually plain boring buildings. This is a great shot! Keep well.
Thank you for joining this week and helping to make sky watch the place to be. Enjoy all the comments your post will get, try to vist others, but mostly enjoy the fun of Sky Watch.
The Sky Watch Team
Wow…that is sort of a dizzying photo. I LIKE it! plus you got two birds with one stone..with the sky and the black. I’m subconciously wishing for some black skies and rain. oy
*hug* and glad you had a good cry about the car wreck and maybe that is over now. So glad you weren’t hurt all that much.
Great combination of SkyWatch and ProjectBlack themes! The contrast between blue and black is very beautiful and the angle from which you took this photograph is very clever too! Congratulations and have a perfect week-end! 🙂
Sorry about the accident and hoping you are well with no after affects! Couldn’t help but notice you and I drive a Chevy and even the same color. Hoping I will not report a similar incident although I have been struck recently without being in my car LOL
that’s a very cool shot!
the mall seems a perfect site for taking pics for photo projects 🙂
and yes, you remember well the accident… pft
That is an interesting. shot
Sorry to hear about the car incident, but as you say @ least you were thankfully unharmed.
TY for the comments on my personal post about my relationship heart-break and sharing your story.
Mines the end of a 17 year long- distance relationship with a married man.
He’s in Canada, he drinks but isn’t a drunk.
I ended the affair a few months ago, but hearing from him brought things rushing back.
Have a good weekend.
Blue
Love the shot, and the way you combined the themes! I didn’t manage that 🙂
What a beautiful blue sky!!!
Awwww, wish I was there!!!
All we get overhere are grey rainy skies, day after day!
I think summer is never gonna come to Belgium this year!
Maybe, … maybe if you blow real hard, do you think you could send us some sun and blue skies?
I need it so badly!
Thank you for stopping by my blog for the SkyWatch photo! Sorry it wasn’t up yet! The photo was on my computer here at home and not at work. This is my first time, and I’m Also new on WordPress. Trying to figure out how to post the SkyWatch logo on my sidebar. Thanks again!! Happy day to you…
Jenn — be there soon.
Dr. John — Thank you.
Melli — next time I’m there I’ll take more photos so you can see the top. OC has gotten both sun burnt and rained on while on Center Stage.
Brian — thank you. You & Diane enjoy your Anniversary.
JC — nothing boring about this mall!
Tom — I love the new site. Thanks for hosting Sky Watch.

Pauline — drive safe. Take care of you.
Juliana — that Mall is very photogenic.
Blue — it is hard to tell from such a few lines. Take care of you.
Jenty — well, from day one on the project I knew this day was coming, so I looked for the combination.
Jientje — this morning it is raining here, but blue skies are promised for later in the day.
Donna — welcome to Sky Watch and WordPress — I sent email which may help your sidebar dilemma.
That’s a fabulous shot. Great view of the sky through that black framed glass roof. Works well for both black and sky. have a great weekend. I do understand your feelings about the Great Northwest. although my home and my heart are here my husband and I have to live in southern California right now….
Excellent combination shot, really good!
Ellen — I was raised in Idaho & Washington, so my heart will ever and always be there, but I do love my Hawaii home and am happy here.
Dragonstar — thank you.
Quilly, a beautiful shot! “)
Hello! It’s very bautiful pic you have taken, I like the tight composition aroung architecture and well light up sky!
….and what a view it is!
Mary — thank you.
SysOp — thank you.
Michelle — thank you?
When I look at the clouds I see a reindeer pulling a sleigh…
Great shot – that’s amazing that you can see the sky so clearly right through the glass. (I guess that’s why they call them “skylights”, huh? LOL)
Great two-for one shot with the interesting architecture and the beautiful blue sky. Nice.
