Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

Lovely photos……. Lovely place!
The pics are nice, but surely there is a funny anecdote to accompany them? 😉
It seems like a lovely place. Love the name 🙂
Beautiful shots. I enjoyed scrolling down the page. I can’t believe that I missed your show me posts. I apologize for that. I thought I visited everyone but apparently my brain goes into a void from time to time and gets lost there. Anyway… loved the show me shots and the doves and… and…
As a committed ornithologist, I love your bird photos, the dove in flight shots are lovely, but for me the heron is the one. Just one question, What’s a Night Heron doing out during the day?
LOL! Now why is this the “tourist” mall? Why not just “the mall”? And this must be the one that you look up in the middle to NO ceiling — huh?
Your blog is becoming a picture blog and with great pictures.
Is this where the big banyan tree is behind – kind of like a treehouse? It was so different looking back when I was there. Or at least what they called the Marketplace.
Aloha!
Great shots.
There should be no malls in Hawaii!
Great photos.
I love the blue sky above the tower. Great photos!
I think…it has been 20 years, that mall is where we found the most useful Japanese blue and white housecoat. It had a light lining of cotton and was perfect for winter in Texas. I’ve been looking for another for ages. We found the regular blue and white ones last year in San Antonio, but no light cotton lining.
The lady who worked at the shop told us what the name for the blue and white ones are…it is blue and white in Japanese. 😉
gordon biersch at the back!!!
also, i heard jake shimabukuro play in the front one evening. that was cool.
