What phrase does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players.
The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends.

Quilly I don’t know what kind of mind you have to come up with these I tell you. I need my eyes examined!!! I’m off to bed. Night Night. Maybe when I rise and shine I’ll have an answer but I doubt it.
Not only don’t I know the phrase but I don’t know what the thing is.
John and Thom, you guys sound the same.
Quilly, I know what one of them is but I don’t know what those two things are on top!
Oh wow! I thought for sure even Dr. John would get this one!!! He has kids and grandkids! Well… I know MY response is LATE!
It could be messy if you literally follow the phrase.
I think I might have this one! Don’t know if I’ll get there first, though — I keep forgetting about the time difference and keep forgetting to check this first thing Monday.
I think I actually got one. I am off to email you so I can prove it.
Quilly dear … Krysti wishes you would put a link to ALL your Punny Monday’s on your page so that she can go back and TRY her pitiful self to get them! She’s HORRID at it! (though she DID get today’s right away!)
Well Quilly I sent in another guess so I guess that disqualifies me but I woke up and it sorta hit me what this is. This must be a woman thing cuz the women seem to know the answer…thinking even more
I am a woman and still blank, also have kids and lots of grandkids and still don’t know what that grass green thingy is. I’m thinkin’ your thinkin’ you are going to take the best answer anyone comes up with!! and you don’t know either.
LOL…love the response Caryl
That’s a gorgeous green thingy you’ve got there Quilly.
OK, I am now officially stupid!!! I could not tell those were peas!! Oh well, there’s always next week!
Peas!!! I thought they were green olives!! and the green thingy was maybe a drive of some kind so —-I’ll leave (olive) the driving to you—-seemed quite reasonable. Are you sure they are peas?
Thom — someday you’ll get the right answer. Maybe. LOL
Dr. John — out of tiuch with modern culture, I see? I’m coming pretty close to that myself, but I do have one of these!
Doug — crotchety, aren’t they? 😉
Jane — peas! Green peas fresh from the freezer!
Melli — I think Dr. John’s grandkids might have fewer worldly values than their contemporaries.
Lisa — indeed.
Barbara — I sent you email — yes? You must not be like the rest of us and check your mailbox first thing in the a.m.
Nessa — very well done! Now, earlier!
Melli — tell Kristy to go to my page, use the built-in search boox and type, Punny Monday. They will all come up, and maybe one or tow extra posts as well when people talk about Punny Monday.
Thom — send as many guesses as you like. I’ll post them all — right there under Wacky Wild Guesses. 😉
Caryl — lol! I love you!
Thom — Caryl is the youngest of my elder sisters.
Bazza — still empty and waiting for some tunes. DON’T make any suggestions, thank you.
Jane — I love your attitude!
Caryl — Oh! Oh! I am so dense! I need to put your guess up. I wondered what your title had to do with the drywaller dismantling your closet. LOL! (Btw, that was a brilliant and very punny guess!)
Dang…I knew that. Congrats to the Winners. Doug next time can ya send me a clue? Please oh Pretty Please
And those are the damnest looking peas i’ve ever seen. Oh Right…must be a Hawaii pea
Is hitonious a real word? I can’t find it in any dictionary – only in reference to JD’s blog, which is ok, but I want to know so I stop looking.
Thom-Thom — boy did you pick the wrong dog for help cheating! AND those are Ore-Ida peas, all shriveled and frozen.
Nessa — if you found the word in JD’s blog, didn’t you find the story of the word’s origin there as well? It is indeed made-up, but I submit that all words were made up by somebody! JD has embarked on a campaign to make this word recognized and used. I just thought I’d help her out.
And I told Betty those were old fashioned green controls and all along they were peas.
phew, too busy to look in today, and even if i did i wouldn’t have got this in a nillion years(well, maybe then…)
I love it!!
First time I got it right!! Well, almost that is!
it’s fun, just to see what the winners say. 🙂
I do check my e-mail first thing, but hadn’t received one from you — not even in my spam folder.
Congrats to Doug!
Well know wonder I didn’t figure out the answer this week…Ho Ho Ho Green Giant!!!
You do have an Inventive Mind Quilly, with the exception of your “Pop Music” which I thought was “Canned Music”, I am always Brain Dead when it comes to these. But once I see the answers I thunk my head with my palm (think could of had a V-8 ad) and say that was so obvious how could I have missed it.
One of these years I’ll catch another one.
Caryl, you don’t want hintd from me, I never get it.
I think I like Caryl’s answer better than the right one.
And I should add, the best thing about winning is seeing your excellent poem again, Quill.
I can’t believe I lost it by 3 minutes!
Dr. John — peas and control knobs look a lot alike. It was a natural mistake. ;O
Juliana — you just need a good dose of American culture.
Jientje — you were right enough that had you been earlier, you’d have won!
Andrew — I know, I love the guesses and the comments most of all.
Barbara — next week you’ll get the email. Honest.
Thom — that’s the land of my raising. My daddy and the Jolly Green Giant share the same hometown.
Bill — think first. Thunk later!
Doug — Thom wanted you to cheat. Caryl, my witty sister, would never ask anyone to cheat.
Doug — thanks. I am proud of that bit of nonsense — and, being nonsense, it suits you well. 😉
Bazza — neither can I since yours was the last entry I received. I’ve changed the answer time to correctly match the time stamp on your email.
