Hmmm. One idea comes to mind right off the bat, but I am not entirely sure if it is right. I went ahead and sent it in, just in case, but I’ll ponder this some more and see if anything else comes to me.
I’m curious as to what time zones other participants are in. It took me several weeks of playing to sit down and do the math and figure out that midnight Quilly’s time is 6 a.m. my time. I am usually up then, but not usually at the computer til later — but I can make an exception on Punny Mondays. 🙂 But I feel almost guilty doing so if it is 3 a.m. for some people.
I haven’t got a clue, so I won’t even hazzard a guess.
OH, He’s a Warlock.
OK, I think I have an idea but……am I right????
I think I need another cup of coffee for this one…
I am at a loss. 🙁
I gave it a flip.
OT but thought you might like this story of hawaiian school children sending relief supplies to… Alaska. http://www.themudflats.net/2009/04/05/kids-reach-across-the-ocean-punahou-to-nunam-iqua/
word clue: music.
I am clueless on this one
So am I!!
To ALL — the email I sent out had a fatal error (me) and it never deployed. I found it this morning wallowing in my draft folder. My apologies to those who would have played had their attention span not been even shorter than mine!
Barbara — Time zones? They’re right here. And yep, when it’s 6:00 a.m. at your house, it is 3 a.m. in the Pacific Time Zone. But there is no way to make my posting time universally convenient — or your playing time.
Bill — you are confusing me.
Jane — no. 😉
Melli — you took too long drinking it!
Cath — sorry, no touchdown for you.
Doug — and won the game!
Kitty — thank you.
Thom — this is new?
Jientje — American sports … this probably wasn’t fair to my foreign participants.
LOL!!
I must admit, I totally forgot all about Punny Monday!
pffffffffft Quater Back Might as well been Quarter on a piece of wood
Great work, Doug! I would never have thought of that, though it seems so obvious now.
I think there was something else weird with the e-mails, too — I sent an earlier response than the “French quarter” one, though it was equally ludicrous, so I’m happy that it got lost, and I didn’t send one that said “tails” — unless that was maybe from anther Barbara?
I know there’s no universally good time for everyone — I wasn’t suggesting anything be changed. 6 a.m. is actually a great time for me. But the first time I sent in a response right after 6 a.m., people were saying things like, “Did she stay up all night?” so I guess I kind of wanted to explain that, no, I didn’t. I thought, that first time, that I’d have to be racing everyone to get a response in first — then I got to wondering if maybe I should wait til others were up so I wouldn’t have an unfair advantage over west coast people. But, as you said, there is no one good time for everyone.
Sorry to ramble so much and take so much of your comment space. 🙂
NO need to be confused my friend, just pop over to your post on Thom’s visit and the Vampire, it will all make sense.
Scheesh don’t ya read your follow up comments 🙂
PS, I think this one was one-sided, I didn’t realize it was your US quarter, Really Quilly you have an International Audience you got to think International 🙂 I was actually thinking Wooden Nickel, goes to show how much I know, lol
I’m thrilled but wish Barbara’s “French Quarter” were right. That’s brilliant.
I thought about it, but didn’t get around to it until now. I’m not sure I would have gotten it anyway. However, it was a goodun. 😉
I didn’t say TAILS! I said French Quarter! Stupid me…. GOOD JOB DOUG!!! Waaaaaaay to goooooo!
pft, not in a million years would i guess this!
oh, i’m not even american? no wonder
Juiana…here here. And I’m an American and I couldn’t get it…she went off the deep end on this one if ya ask me LOL
I am one of those 3AM people and I think all of you should wait until I get up at 10AM my time (7 Quilly’s)LOL. also, am american and thought quarterback was a pronoun!
Haha… another good Punny Monday. Not being into sports I would not have thought of quarter back.
Jientje — no! Say it isn’t so!
Thom — that piece of wood is my dining room table! You’ve sat at it, you know!
Bill — I am tidy. Vampire comments on the vampire blog. International incident complaints on the Punny Monday blog — everything has a place and should be in it. 😉
Doug — I agree — unfortunately, it was so brilliant, I didn’t think of it.
Amber – -thank you.
Melli — I was in a rush and very confused.
Thom — you’re American? I didn’t even think you were Earthling!
Caryl — A Quarterback is a person. Noun = person, place or thing.
Alice — Since my camera wasn’t working — THOM — I had to go with a photo I’d already had — an old theme I’d rejected because I know it was too American, and mostly male.
I had looked at this but it never came!
Yeah Doug.
