April 8th — A Poem A Day
Bell Choir Novice
Put a smile upon your face,
Look like you are full of grace.
Follow the measure, keep the beat,
Try to stay light on your feet.
Not too fast and not too slow,
We want to make the music flow.
Read the music. Look at me,
Or my cues you will not see.
Arms up, bells straight, snap your wrist,
Pick up that last note you missed.
Not too soft and not too loud,
Stand up straight and tall and proud.
Watch my hands! Don’t lose your place!
Why’s that frown upon your face?
Don’t make it look like such a trial,
Concentrate, but wear a smile!
Right now you are very green,
But soon all this will be routine.CLA
Poetic Asides, Day 8
Prompt: write about a routine

I love listening to bell choirs. I think that I almost love watching them more. You describe it so perfectly, and I can almost hear them in my head. Lovely. 🙂

YAY!!! *clap clap clap* … My little church doesn’t have a bell choir… I wish I could watch (and listen to) you play! That was a very good poem!

Are in in a bell choir? I love to listen to them, but I would be so petrified to be in one — afraid of flubbing my part by coming in too soon or too late.
