Abbot Medical Optics Inc. is sponsoring an iLASIK Video Contest.

  • 1 Grand Prize — $5000.00

So, what do you have to do to win? Make a video that shows how better vision can or has improved someone’s life.  If you are a glasses or contacts wearer, then you don’t have to imagine very hard to come up with a winning idea.   You can probably lift an example right from your own life.

There are three video categories:

  • “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”
  • “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”
  • “You should see life after the iLASIK® Procedure”

Select one of the above categories, block out your storyline and start filming!  If you’ve had an iLASIK® Procedure then you you can probably pull a storyline right from your own life, but since everybody here is creative and most of us are writers, I really think one of my readers could easily create the winning video.

Check out the iLASIK Video Contest website, read the rules, register, and upload your contest entry — then come back here and let us all know so we can go over and vote for you!  And don’t forget to tell the rest of your friends, too.

  2. I “looked into” LASIK (ha ha) but I am not a good candidate. There are a LOT of things the industry doesn’t tell you about LASIK up front. My opthomologist is young, beautiful and wears contacts and says, having studied eyes, she would NEVER get LASIK herself, so she isn’t real encouraging to her patients either. I know people who have had it who love their results though so . . . ??

    1. Kelley — my Dr. recommended lasik surgery — then told me I would have to wear glasses anyway to see up close and to read. If I have to wear glasses anyway, I will just keep things as they are, I think.
