Odd Shot is hosted by Katney of Katney’s Kaboodle. If you’ve ever captured an odd or even down right strange photograph, this is the place for you!
Lunch Interrupted
I zoomed in for the close up and snapped the shot. I didn’t even realize she had a mouthful of grass until I pulled the photo up on my computer screen. The photo was taken just outside our apartment at the Friday Harbor Labs, in Friday Harbor, WA. The campus is also a nature preserve and the animals are cautious around people, but they don’t flee at the first sight of us.

How amazing! That little lizard is so tiny…and I love the light shining through the deer’s ear. What a sweet face on the deer and shame on you for interrupting lunch! HA!

Carolyn — I know, I know. I hope I didn’t give the deer indigestion!
Well captured! I’m glad I found you again.

Katney — I’m glad you found me, too!
What a tiny little thing !
I find your second photo cute and not odd, even if it hasn’t a clean mouth ! Amazing what critters you have in or around your new home !

Gattina — yes, the fauna here is as wonderful as the flora in Hawaii.
I love those tiny things.
I didn’t know that’s called an Anole.
🙂
That face expression on the second shot is priceless 🙂

Nicole, yep. Anole. A lot of folks mistake them for geckos.
That’s what I would have guessed.
So, maybe those little critters here are not geckos after all…
Haven’t seen them in a while.
Guess they don’t like dogs.

Regina — thanks. You, too.
Both are wonderful shots! The tiny life in a hand is incredible! And love the deer’s expression in the second photo!

Gemma — that deer came as a complete delight to me.
Wow! That are some awesome close up´s! Love it.
Betty — and I love my camera!
Wow, that baby lizard is just so gorgeous – and so beautifully photographed, too! Absolutely perfect.
I had to call OH and show him too, and he was enchanted, just as I was. Great shot!
Jay, I am glad you liked the Anole. He was surprisingly complacent about being held and photographed.
What a sweet little one and so long toes 🙂 The other one was adorable as well 🙂

Christina — it does make Amoeba’s hand look overly large, doesn’t it?
That little tiny anole is so little and cute! How did Amoeba find and pick him out of his environment? Or, did he find his way into your apt??
The shot of the deer (oops, I shouldn’t say shot and deer in one sentence lol!), is fantastic and the title is PERFECT!
Church Lady — The anole was actually in our home in Hawaii. This was one of my last shots there. And my camera is the only way I’ll shoot at deer.
oh my what a tiny little lizard, very cute in deed! And the deer that got interrupted is a really neat shot!
Munin — thanks. Both of these shots charmed me, so I just had to share.
…and now her girlfriends call her Greenfang. Oh dear!
That’s a gorgeous shot. And tiny tiny anole, wow!
Susan — I am so ashamed of the role I played in giving her that nickname. It was entirely inadvertent!
I don’t normally call lizards cute, but that one is. And what a sweet capture of the deer snacking.

Barbara — mostly baby anythings are cute. And I do love that look on the deer’s face.
ditto everybody else – the petit anole is just too cute and the deer’s expression priceless!

Wow!
The picture of the deer makes me yearn for a better camera and a steadier hand.
I love the texture of the hand brought out in the shot of the baby brown anole (the critter looked cute enough to bring home as a pet).
