April 7th — Poetry Playing
It Happens Every Year
The crocuses always start it.
You’d think that they would learn.
Then the daffodils and tulips,
Without logic or concern,
Leap among the Lavender
And tease the Hellebore,
Until the Daisies and the Lilies
Can’t take it anymore.
The Hydrangea and the Lark Spur
The Delphinium and Phlox,
Wanting their share of glory
Soon fill the flower box.
When the garden’s bursting
In flowery array,
I often join the party,
By gathering a bouquet.

How flowery is this. Very well done. How much do you sell the bouquets for? Do the ship over the pacific? Is shipping free LOL 🙂 Well done Q.
Thom — you should have learned, always deal with a LOCAL florist. Pft.
Hey there!
I don’t know why I can’t write a poem, I’m too stubborn to write one, I guess. And thanks for letting us know it’s National Poetry Month! That’s why I’ve been seeing blog posts about poems they wrote.
I like what you wrote, it’s beautiful.
HC — it is National Poetry Month and that’s why you see poems springing up like flowers all over the net. Welcome to my blog. Come back anytime.
I wish I could see all those flowers bloom! Sounds lovely!
