Punny Monday 2010 #12
Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.
What phrase does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

You mean I stayed up this late and can’t even figure out what the hell those green things are? And I can’t make the picture bigger. Night Night. Good luck to everyone that guesses
You can make it bigger by clicking on it, which takes you to it in Flickr, then clicking on “All sizes.”
well when I first did it it said it was private and nothing showed up on flickr.
Thom — wow! You must have been here in the first 20 seconds the post was up, because as soon as I posted I took the pic off private.
I’m sending in a zinger…I finally managed to stay up late enough to catch punny…but this is really a stretch.
Shelly – -not such a stretch that you didn’t win! Congrats!
Yippieee…K…not gloating but pretty excited that I guessed it 🙂
Grinning from ear to ear.
I love PM…just so ya know.
Shelly — I am glad you enjoy this and that you’ve finally won! .
They look green and healthy, that’s why I cannot figure this out…
Mar — ah-ha! This post revealed that more than a few people who don’t know their veggies.
I have sent you a guess 🙂
Rosidah – -thanks.
I’m with Thom on this one. I haven’t a clue. A hint would be great! Nice pic though.
OJM — hint: look at Shelly’s answer. 😉
Me being green isn’t helping with this challenge.
Clever one I’m sure, if only I was not up a tree.
Gel — you are exhausting me. I have to retype and reformat, you know. You are hereby banned to ten guesses.
My guess is sent in, I doubt I got it, but this was a challenger.
Bill — yes, I imagine it was since you can’t tell peas from Brussel Sprouts. I suggest you eat more carrots — Linda and Melli might want to join you. 😉
Well, I thought I knew what those things were, but they’re not either of the two things I originally thought, so I am not sure…will have to ponder this one for a while.
Barbara — frozen peas.
NOW they look like peas. 🙂
Congrats to the winners and the creative guessers!
I think I know what those are, but I can’t imagine what in the world the answer is. Gotta give this one some thought.
Linda — I don’t think you do know what those are. 😉 Check my comment to Bill.
Arggh! They looked so huge I never considered they could be peas!
Guess I have PMS. . . Punny Monday Stupidity!!
I sent in a guess, but know it is a wild one.
Betty — I am always just happy to see you!
Whatever the right answer is, Salaam.
Doug — Shalom to you, too, my friend.
Maybe. Maybe not. I e-mailed.
Karen — maybe not, but I like your answer anyway.
ROFL!
Melli — I am glad you were tickled, even if it was for the wrong reason.
Oh… looking at it BIG I think I’m wrong! Hmmmm…. Now I gotta think…
Melli – -well, for what it is worth, I loved the Peat Moss answer.
Glad I’m not the only one who’s drawing a blank.
Raven — this one was much more difficult than I thought it would be!
Supreme congrats to Shelley and others who got it. I enlarged it with the suggestion from someone one flicker, but I was using my small laptop and never noticed they were peas! Quilly, I always have so much fun guessing. I even guess when the answers are in, if I’ve not been up “early/late” enough and just look at the photo. Terrific one!
Oh, LOL, I did have one guess w/ the word “earth” in it. I think that is a book I read by Pearl Buck.
Hap-PEA wk!
I’m banned to ten guesses? Don’t you merely cut and paste? Ok. Sorry, I thought you liked us to just guess. Green apologies and every other color.
GEL — I’m sorry. I must have instigated the rule change when you were on one of your off-blogging stints. It isn’t so bad when just one person does lists, like this time it was only you, but for awhile I was getting huge lists from many people and even the readers were complaining about not seeing the humor for the mass. I’ll go back to putting the reminder in the email so folks won’t have to feel picked on!
As to just cutting and pasting, I still have to format to fit my blog, take out the long lists, add the semi-colons, fix the different fonts from all the different emails. The long lists just aren’t any fun for me.
If you want to send them pre-formatted, I might reconsider.
As I wrote you privately, before I saw this reply, I want you to have fun! I’ll happily reduce guesses to the amount you stated (or less) and format as you wish. If I forget to format, because of fatigue since I always send in my guesses after no sleep or little sleep, then just leave my guesses off.
Sorry GEL. When I am super busy and have too much work to do and too little time to do it in, I get testy.
Congrats Shelly and to all those that got this abstract PM 🙂
Thom — peas aren’t abstract to people who actually eat vegetables.
well, i first thought these were brussels sprouts, too, but ther wasn’t much sense in it.
peas, on the other hand… 🙂
brussel sprouts and peas are very different! I am so confused.
Now I can see clearly. All day until now I thought those were Brussel sprouts. LOL
Granny Annie – -why brussel sprouts? They aren’t half big enough! I am confused.
Ah, peace on earth. Great Punny Monday. Btw, I forgot to tell you that I love your photo.
Rosidah – -this photo? Okay. Thanks. ?
ROFL some more! Congrats to Shelly — but the BEST part of the whole thing is listening to Thom whine and you argue with him! LOL!
Melli — Thom is a whiner, isn’t he? I, on the other hand am always perfectly reasonable.
I guess I’m late LOL
That was a good one too! I love spring peas in the garden.
Susan — when you get here, please don’t pea in my garden ….. 😉
Sorry. Couldn’t resist. All the Brussel Sprouts in here are making me crazy
I didn’t get by earlier today.
A good groaner though! 🙂
I think Thom’s was cute – I am a Suess fan!
Carletta — you’ve got to stop encouraging Thom!
