Quintessentially Quilly

One of my favorite things when I was a kid was playing the word jumbles puzzles in the newspaper with my grandmother.  I still love word jumbles and now I have a perfect medium for passing that love on to children and increasing their Biblical knowledge.   Bible Jumbles For Kids contains 200 puzzles, each of which is based on a Bible passage or scripture reading.

This book contains Traditional Jumbles, Mystery Person Jumbles,Jumble Detective puzzles, Jumble Criss-Cross puzzles (my favorite) and Bible Passage Jumbles.  I think that last description needs a bit more explaining since all the jumbles are based on Bible passages.  In the section marked Bible Passage Jumbles, the Bible passage is printed right on the page and the scrambled words can be found in the text.

This book bills itself for 8 and older.  Many of the puzzles I can do without picking up a pencil — others I cannot.  I think this book does provide a challenging mix of easy to hard and would do an admirable job of keeping kids of any age (including my own) entertained and occupied.
