You have a special gift for celebrating people and making them feel special and loved. For that reason, even though you’d prefer I didn’t, I have to celebrate you. You are one of my favorite people. No one could ask for a kinder, more generous, thoughtful or loyal friend.  You’re better than Lassie! MWAH!

P.S.  Since you wanted your birthday kept low key, I only put it here on the blog, on Facebook and on Twitter. I was going to put an ad on the news but I don’t know what station you watch.

    1. Kay — I don’t think friends come any better. He rescued us when our car broke and loaned us his, ran errands me when I was ill and Charley was out of town, has driven us to and picked us up from the airport, in short he has shown us aloha in the true sense of the word.

      Anytime you want to meet Thom, just run down to the Queen Kapiolani bus stands and look for the bus driver that matches his avatar.

    1. Carletta — in this pic he was in my living room, and I can sadly assure you he isn’t there now. When I talked to him today via email he was at work. That doesn’t sound very kicked back, does it?

      1. I don’t know what he’s complaining about. Last year he had a CONTEST for people to guess when his birthday was. From that I got the feeling that he wanted everyone to know. LOL 😀

    1. Betty — it does look sort of like his fingers are touching but if you look closer that’s an iPad he’s holding and he was either blogging or emailing.
