Muffed Target #8
Thom has taken over Gattina’s meme invention, Muffed Target Photo Meme. The idea is to share our photos that didn’t turn out. Come on, you know we all have them! You share yours and I’ll share mine!
This is supposed to be a Heron eating its catch. Because I was in such a fast action situation, I put the camera on auto because supposedly it can adjust faster than I can. The thing is, the camera can’t think, it only reacts. That’s why the camera adjusted to capture the ripple when a fish jumped in the background. Pfft.

LOL damn cameras. I think I must react to. Thanks for playing Q. Very much appreciated.
The wonderful thing about digital cameras is that you can simply delete the disasters!
You know what comes to mind when I see this snap? “Quoth the raven, ‘Nevermore’.” Beautiful but somehow ominous at the same time, correctamundo?
I have many photos like this one! Not of the bird persay, but ones that don’t turn out quite the way I expect them too!
That’s the drawback of digital cameras, especially when we are in a hurry. I think the photo would be even more amazing. It still looks great now. Have a wonderful day 🙂
The water is very pretty.
the silhouette of the bird is quite stunning nonetheless. had the camera got the focus right you could have sold it to national geographic 😉
the photo that is, not the camera
I rather rely on my my own abilities than auto these days 🙂
Only me and myself to blame 😀
