Sensational Haiku Wednesday ~ Stress
Jenn from, You Know … that blog?,
hosts Sensational Haiku Wednesday. This week’s theme is:
Stress
The clock is ticking.
Much to do and little time.
I’m always behind.
~*~
Today I am off to the mainland with my friend, Ramona, so I won’t be visiting until late tonight. If I don’t get to everyone tonight, be patient. I’ll be by!

So true, so true. I think even if there was more time I would be behind. I hope you’ll enjoy your day with your friend Ramona. Have a wonderful time.
Rosidah — Ramona just canceled on me. I am going all alone!
I think we all are so I think you are in good company. Excellent Haiku 🙂
Thom — if they would just put in a couple more hours in a day ….
Yes, this topic does seem to be very universally kicking everyone’s butts.
Have fun.
Nessa — I figured most of us would take the easy road on this and go with time commitments. You, however, thought about the topic and out-did us all.
Me, too. no matter what I do…always racing the clock!
Michelle — it is a universal race. I don’t know why we bother. Ultimately the clock will win.
i am always behind. lol. see, you are not alone on this. great haiku, quilly!
Pink — sometimes I manage to get ahead, but then I sit down and behind I go again!
I used to say that I was always behind! Suddenly, I realised that I gave myself too much to achieve in a short time! Suddenly that realisation reduced stress! I can be my own worst enemy! Great haiku!
Gemma — the confusing thing for me being always behind is that I don’t have a job and I do have a short to-do list! If I pack my day full I get my chores done. On the days I have room to maneuver I get nothing accomplished!
Shoot. I liked the Haiku so much I forgot my to-do list.
Wait, did you just say you liked the haiku? Who are you and what have you done with the real Doug?
I’m sure you know that STRESSED is DESSERTS spelled backward!
Have a fun day with your friend.
Linda, yeah and my butt knows it, too!
This is how I’m feeling lately. I think about all that I got to do and I think I’ll have no time to get it all done. Enjoy your trip with Ramona, see you when you get back.
Bill — forgive the black humor, but until you get a job you have plenty of time …..
Yes.
🙂
Me too… and I’m always wondering how can this be?
Melli — yeah, I think I had more leisure time when I worked! Or maybe I just rested better. Who knows?
Ha! Excellent one! This describes many of us!
Church Lady — yes, out “modern conveniences” have robbed us of time and made it possible for us to work much longer then ever before.
Quilly I am so with you on extra hours in the day would love it! I think your haiku could be a testament to us all! LOL
Amanda – -but we wouldn’t use the extra hours for fun, would we?
I think if we had more hours in the day we’d just fill them with even more to do.
Isn’t it odd that this is an almost universal feeling? Except among little kids and elderly people?
I agree, Barbara. We do over-tax ourselves. Little kids haven’t learned that time isn’t infinite — and old folks have learned what is really important.
.
That’s me too, Quilly! Nince going. 🙂
I’m in this week. But I did miss your Puny Monday.
Sorry. You know, “Much to do and little time.”
..
The truest haiku ever written, Quilly!
I think you got to the root cause of most stress!
ypu seem to have hit everybody’s nerve with this… i’ve only been back to work a couple of days and i feel i need a vacation already
I figured it out! All we need to do is give up sleeping. There, problem solved.
*sigh*, sorry that we sing the same song on this one, Q. Well done.
I like this one! I wish for magical powers that would allow me to stop and start the clock with a nod of my head. 🙂
Lovely Haiku with a bit of fun…I am a bit late too here but enjoyed the read!! Have a great day!! 🙂
Pefect! Me, too! But then again, I’m retired. This shouldn’t be.
Thankfully since retiring I have very little stress. 🙂
That sounds familiar,…! 😉
