Jacob’s degree program required an algebra class. He petitioned the dean’s office demanding a release from the class without penalty. The dean wanted to know why.
“I can’t take algebra,†Jacob explained, “Because exponents are against my religion.â€
“That’s preposterous!†The dean snapped.
“I am an atheist,†Jacob explained. “I don’t believe in higher powers.â€
