Weekend Reflections ~ Mt. Baker & Egg Lake
James, over at Newton Area Photo
hosts a fun meme called Weekend Reflections.
Grab a camera and play along.
And even if you don’t join the fun,
be sure to check out James’ dazzling photos.
Egg Lake had a beautiful mirror finish. I had to stop and photograph the clouds floating on the water.
I turned and looked the opposite way, and caught the trees admiring their reflection in the water.
Please biggie this photo. One of the perks of being an Avon Lady is getting invited into many beautiful homes. A home I visited high above Egg Lake has this breathtaking view of both Mt. Baker and Egg Lake.

These are perfect reflections Q. it’s so still, calm and peaceful. Love them. 🙂 Well done 🙂 Have a great weekend 🙂
Thanks, Thom. You know we love it here!
Whoever lives with that last view is extremely lucky!
Love your photos Quilly.
Akelamalu — I agree! I walked into the living room, saw the view through the window and stopped dead. When I exclaimed how beautiful it was, the lady of the house didn’t even look up. She said in a half-bored voice, “Oh, can you see the mountain today?”
*Sighing a deep breath!*
Those views of the reflections and the mountain/lake scenery are breathtakingly beautiful!
I can almost smell the fresh air (something I highly miss here, you sometimes get a wee bit early in the morning)!
Nicole — we love it here. Do you notice the lack of people and litter cluttering up the landscape?
I indeed did!
Lucky you 🙂
You really do live in a great area!
Betty — we are blessed and we know it!
Stunning set of pictures… This place is decidely beautiful… Must be great, to hikle around this lake.
‘Tsuki — you know, so far I haven’t tried to hike around that lake. The edges are so marshy I am not certain it is possible to circle it very closely.
Beautiful scenery — beautiful reflections — beautiful photos.
Barbara — God makes beautiful scenery.
What breathtaking reflections, Quilly! Gorgeous place and photos to match! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks, Sylvia — I am headed to Mt. Vernon for a meeting. I’ll take my camera in hopes of beauty ….

Thanks, Gigi. It is easy when the scenery is this lovely. One just points and clicks.
The second photo is so sharp and clear, not to mention beautiful! I enjoyed your blog today!
Shirley, thank you. I am sorry you’ve not enjoyed my blog on other days.
It seems you moved to a very nice place ! Looks just beautiful. So I don’t have to regret that you left Hawai, lol !
Oh these are beautiful!!!!
I don’t know how much more Superior any single Snap can be…and you’ve got them in triplicate. Bravo, Quilly!
those cirrus clouds floating on the surface are perfect. and the scenery… wow!
Gorgeous! How’d Egg Lake get it’s name?
So beautiful! I was wondering why the lake would be called Egg Lake, but when i read Mount Baker, well I put 2 and 2 together that a baker needs eggs to do his thing with. Makes sense. 🙂
xo
I have never seen clouds reflected in water. This is awesome and absolutely beautiful.. To think that just a turn of the body could give you such a contrasting view of the fall colors. Beautiful.
I know it looks painted, but I also know it is real. [sighing at the beauty]
