Punny Monday ~ 10.10.24
Welcome to Punny Monday. This is a fun little guessing game meant to spark your imagination and tickle your funny bone. Every Monday I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it. Posting time varies so every time zone occasionally gets a fair shot at being first to see the game.
Here’s the photo you need to base your guess on:
What phrase does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

Seems easy….but I may be fooling myself….
Barbara — nope, it was way easy. And if you’d been just a little faster I wouldn’t have had to change my sidebar to Doug!
I agree with Barbara – seems a bit easy for a Punny Monday – So I’m probably wrong 😛
Alastair — I was too short on time to make it difficult. Difficult takes thought on my part too, you know!
Ah, but Quilly, you do it so well – thanks as always for your hard work – and the fun it produces (we may not say it enough, but it’s appreciated!|)
Thank you, Alastair.
GAH! I sat at the computer waiting for 4:01 your time to tick over so I’d be first, then I got a business email through and had to answer it, which took me to 4:11!
Mumma — tsk — the inconvenience of having to work for a living interferes again!
I know! Although at this rate, I’m starting to think I should give up work and be a full time stage mum since Elijah seems to be more successful in the industry than me!
that easy? then i’m way too late
Polona — yes and yes — but you’re always welcome whenever you show up!
Well, I am glad everyone here thinks it is easy, because I have no clue. This is not my cup of tea! (never herbal, almost always Earl Grey)
8)
Mar — perhaps you should pop out for another cup of coffee …..
Never associate herbal tea with tea time!! but that’s just me!
Fun, fun.
Lady Grey for me — and yep, too late and too clueless LOL
I have a bag of her husband’s in my shirt pocket, as it happens. I don’t know why, though.
Susan — those were the only teabags in the house with tags. Mostly we drink loose tea and I feared too many people would have no clue what it was.
Doug — your shirt was thirsty?
I’m later than Susan.
Karen — yes, you’re a regular sloth.
I sent a guess. Since I thought it was easy, I’m probably wrong. Remember the last time? Oy! LOL 😀
Cherie — this time it was so easy Thom could have won if he’d been awake to play.
At least I hope that’s what it is!
Regardless, I wasn’t first because my son was working on a school assignment and using my computer until well after 5am your time!
Karen — that’s it, blame it on the kid!
Truly, I was up before 6am (3am your time) but H-J was already on the computer finishing his assignment. Apparently when you procrastinate and don’t begin a project until the afternoon before it is due, you might just be up until 2am and then up again before 6am! He finished up 5 minutes before the bus came.
And yes, it’s always easier to blame it on the kids! 😉
Karen, I think that kid is related to me!
I would think the Europeans would get this with easily… but I may only be teasing…
Melli — actually, I was the one teasing …
Sent a guess, then realized it was the wrong “category.” Hopefully, one of teh answers is the right one!
Linda — not the wrong category. Tea time is two words.
I think it seems easier to, but could be wrong, didn’t send my answer in because I’m in rush to get out to work, but I’ll let you know if I’d have been right.
Teresa Dawn — you need to get up earlier!
.
Still on the road and not reading many blogs (i.e. feel honored if you please).
I know it’s the winner this time but i WON’T be first.
Thanks, Quilly, for the fun. 🙂
..
Jim — in fact you are last, but I am always pleased to have you join us. Don’t forget to read Karen A.’s blog. 😉
This is the first time a thought actually came to my head. I agree with Doug.
Kay — you have tea in Doug’s shirt pocket, too?
Well I’ve been waiting for the answer. Can I send in my guess now? LOL
Thom — knowing you even if you guessed now you’d get it wrong.
Bite Me!!!
Needs lemon — no wait, you’re sour enough!
I so would have gotten that had I been awake at 7 this morning.
Amanda — as a vampire you are at a distinct disadvantage during daylight hours.
And, I actually knew this one!
Mama Zen — you need me to add your email to the Punny Monday email reminder?
I love Doug’s “watch out, it’s steep” answer! He is such a tea-se!
Linda — yes and sometimes it gets him in hot water.
