Punny Monday 2011.01.17
Welcome to Punny Monday. This is a fun little guessing game meant to spark your imagination and tickle your funny bone. Every Monday I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it. Posting time varies so every time zone occasionally gets a fair shot at being first to see the game.
Here is the image you need to base your guess on:
What noun does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

I can’t think of a possible answer; I’m too busy trying to eat the screen.
🙁
Susan — well knock it off, I keep having to dry my picture!
I was all excited that it posted early, but I’m totally stumped. Not even a bad idea is coming into my head.
Raven — I am certain the others find some relief in that. 😉
.
This one is another toughy, Quilly. 🙂 Unless I got it right, then it was easy.
I’m kind of thinking that those items at the bottom are Hazelnuts. You are making me hungry. I cannot eat after midnight–it’s 12:22 here now–as I’m having a procedure tomorrow morning.
..
Jim, the slender, oval shaped nuts are almonds. Hazel nuts are round like marbles. 😉
I hope your procedure went well. I offered a prayer.
I can never guess these things. But they looks delicious!
Kala — they are quite good. Amoeba likes to keep a jar at his desk ready for snack attacks.
Well, I’m sending a guess but don’t have much hope that it’s even remotely correct. 🙂
Carletta — that’s funny since you won!
You want a noun? I’ll send you the perfect noun. 😛
Karen — they aren’t that perfect!
Turns out I was hungry for something just like that at 2am.
My favorite! how did you know? only it doesn’t help me to guess…
Mar — hmmm, this might prove your sanity ….
I have tried again.
Granny Annie — you guessed my favorite candy bar, but it wasn’t the correct answer, alas.
I sent a guess. I’m so proud….I’ve drawn blanks on the last couple.
Stacy — and you sent a correct guess, at that! Congrats. Now, just send the correct guess earlier, and you’ll win. See how easy it is? 😉
Nope, I ain’t got it.
Doug — relax, it’ll come to you …. 😉
Heaven.
LOL.
Pat — funny, Karen actually gave me that as a guess rather than a comment!
What Pat said. And Susan. And most of the others. Nothing punny comes to mind. Just words like temptation. And cruelty. Because I’m on a liquids-only diet in prep for a procedure on Wednesday. Wonder if I could just lick them. . . .
Linda — the answer is NO! I did offer a prayer for your procedure, though!
I can’t believe I couldn’t come up with that! That’s a great one! I’m really slipping.
The answer is posted: love it!!!! a round thing 😉
Mar — tasty, too!
Hey Quilly, I’ve given you a blog award if you want to check it out. There are no rules about passing it on (unless you want to). All you have to do is accept it. 🙂
Good one. I, as usual, did not get it.
Ok, I can’t believe it! 🙂
I’ll have to mark this day on the calendar. When Raven said she didn’t know I was sure I couldn’t have it right. She wasn’t far behind me.
I did like you’ve said and just didn’t overthink this one.
Thanks for fun Quilly!
I tried to think of it, before I scrolled down to see the answer. It makes great sense, but like last week my mind was blank :). Now, I need a cup of hot chocolate.
