The Muffed Target – #22
The Muffed Photo Meme is sponsored by Thom “Bite Me” Robinson, and can be found every Tuesday on his blog, Thom’s Place 4 Well, Whatever. Believe me, this meme really fits in his “well whatever” category:
Each Tuesday post a completely crazy, messed up photo — one you would normally delete. The subject matter isn’t important — did you take a picture of your thumb? The lens cap? The wrong half of great Aunt Betty? (Really, she usually has a head …) Or perhaps you’ve got a shot of your own nose hairs taken while you were trying to determine why the flash wasn’t working. Whatever your photo goof is, we want to see it!
So, let’s all expose our photo flubs. You show me yours and I’ll show you mine!
I swear, there were two woodpeckers — Mr. & Mrs. Downy — on the rail when I sighted this shot in. They flew up onto the feeder just as I pressed the shutter.

LOL…This is why I stay away from photographing birds. LOL Love this one. Thanks for playing Q 🙂 Have a good time on the mainland 🙂
Thom — you’re a sadist!
Go on, I believe you! 😉
Akelamalu — righty-o!
Can’t believe it! A bad shot from Quilly?
Love the way the fluttery tail flips are sending you a message though. I think it’s “nyah-nyah”
Ha ha
Kelley — I do believe you’re right. i wonder where those cheeky birds think that suet comes from?
What is that in the upper left corner? It was like that when my kids were small, too — by the time I got the camera ready, the pose I wanted to capture was long gone.
Barbara — those are fluttering bird tails — they landed on the suet cage.
.
Oh sure, Quilly. 🙂 Two of them and they flew away.
Anyway, ” i tawt i taw a tweety bird …”

Meant also to ask if some Boston pictures are coming our way.
I would love to go back and see if the old Federal Building was still standing. I went there to the FCC office 50 years ago to take and pass my General Class Amateur Radio Operator exam. I still have my call, keeping K1TLT current now as an Extra Class Operator.

Jim — we landed in Boston and we took off from Boston, but we stayed in Plymouth. All I saw of Boston was the airport, Ted William’s Tunnel, and the freeway — although we did spend a few brief minutes at Revere Beach in a blistering cold wind.
I must say, I do have a bunch of photos to match yours. 🙂
I totally missed a photo that I wish I had captured today. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and in a way that I cannot quite understand, that definition has become important to her … an integral part of who she is. And today … as I was driving I saw a city bus painted pastel pink and with a breast cancer ribbon on the side. She would have loved it! 🙂 But I just watched it drive by and then thought … wow, wish I had taken a picture!
You can just see their tail feathers fluttering by the feeder. I still think it’s a cool picture even if it wasn’t what you intended. 🙂
