Yes, but if they weren’t back-lit, you wouldn’t see all those tiny veins. I was trying for a “see thru” type effect, for want of a better explanation, but I couldn’t get the camera to focus (too much light) and duplicate what I was seeing, so I settled for this slightly out-of-focus impressionistic effect which I kind of like.
I actually lifted this from my archives. I snapped this before my camera class and my acquisition of how to reset the ISO on my camera. (Unfortunately my ISO goes only from 200 to 1600, so this camera probably couldn’t have achieved what I wanted anyway.)
i’m aware of that, and the focus is quite nicely on the top left blossom so a slight blurriness of the others kind of fits.
but yes, the telation between the apperture, the shutter speed and ISO is quite delicate, and sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing for the sake of others
difficult light but you did well. they would probably look even better against a more contrasting background away from the direct source of light

You know what I really like — the way the screen door segmented the light, even from across the room.
